The Darjeeling Cafe is host to a wonderful variety of events for the whole family throughout the month, including expanding our dinner menu and another fantastic tasting night. We are now doing a Family Style Dinner every Monday night from 5-8:30. Eat in to meet new people or call ahead and we’ll box it up for you! All events go from 8-10 unless otherwise noted.
APRIL
Friday, 2 – Stripmall Ballads – Awesome banjo driven ballads!
Saturday, 3 – The Judy Chops – A wonderful local old- time favorite.
Sunday, 4 – Jonny Fritz – Everybody’s favorite singing songwriting guitar playing “Corn Dog” is back for a special one night appearance. 7-9.
Monday, 5 – OPEN MIC with host Darren Ralston. Staunton’s most open Open Mic. 7-9.
Thursday, 8 – Sacred Circle Book Club
Friday, 9 – Kim Austin – A wonderful guitar filled evening is sure to ensue.
Saturday, 10 – Hobojac – These fun guys are coming down from Nelson County to entertain us for the night.
Monday, 11 – John Brodeur -Traveling throughout the East Coast, John is going to grace us with his wonderful singing/ song playing presence for a special performance.
Wednesday, 14 – Virginia Wine Tasting – Come out for our monthly five course wine tasting!
Friday, 16 – MetalFest 2010 – Five bands, one afternoon, $15.
Saturday, 17 – Star FK Radium – A staff favorite! This wonderful band from DC has a violinist instead of a lead singer! They are absolutely amazing!
Monday, 19 – Open Mic
Wednesday, 21 – Cinnamon Band – Hometown boys making it big in Philly are gonna come and play us some pretty tunes. $5
Thursday, 22 – Olivia Mancini and Starlight Drive – Olivia has an amazing voice. Celebrate Earth Day with some wonderful songs in one of Staunton’s only Virginia Green Certified restaurants. Every day is Earth Day at the Darjeeling Cafe!
Friday, 23 – Todd Is My Co-Pilot – It’s gonna be funktastic up in here!
Saturday, 24 – Momentary Prophets – Not only are these guys some of the politest people who have ever played here, they are also enormously talented.
Monday, 26 – Those Mockingbirds – Those Mockingbirds, they sing like songbirds.
Thursday, 29 – Roy Schneider – Roy is coming through Staunton for a limited engagement!
Friday, 30 – Byron Massey – This man’s speaking voice is so wonderful that even if he didn’t sing a lick, it would still be a melody filled evening.
